2003 Dyna FXD Tachometer Wiring Question
I recently purchased the 767224-95C Tachometer kit which adds a separate tachometer in a dual mounted (speedo/tach) bracket.
The instructions call for removing several wires from the 20B connector that goes into the main wiring harness. These wires are tapped by the tachometer for ground and instrument lighting. The instructions also call for removing the wire that connects the "Check Engine LP" circuit to the speedometer and leaves it disconnected.
The logic of this is not clear to me. Any guidance appreciated!
