Default Fob and security code

I watched the youtube video on how to reset the code for a 2010 Ultra Classic. I think that I was able to reset the code to what I could remember but here is the problem. I go thru the procedure to start the bike without the fob and although I match the code and when turning the run switch to the run position and it goes thru the start cycle, the bike will do nothing when the start button is pushed. Any thoughts?

I found these directions here:

http://www.harley-davidsonforums.com...ity-codes.html

Is this how you did it?

To reset the code with a HFSM equipped bike (no button fob), you will:
1) Have your key fob near the bike
2) Set your kill switch to off
3) Quickly turn the ignition switch on, off, on, off, on
4) Immediately press and let go of the left turn signal switch twice (press, let go, press, let go)
5) Press and let go the right signal once
6) Current PIN number will be displayed on odometer
7) Change the PIN by pressing the left signal until the desired number is reached
8) Press the right signal to cycle to the next number and repeat step 7
9) Turn ignition off when 5 digit PIN is satisfactory
NOTE: Steps 3 through 5 must be completed in quick succession of each other.

Now you can have the bike armed, and disarm with the PIN (example PIN will be 25522 in the following steps):
1) Ignition switch to on
2) Immediately press both turn signals at the same time (red key light on you speedometer will flash rapidly if done right)
3) Press and let go the left signal 2 times
4) Press and let go the right signal once
5) Press and let go the left signal 5 times
6) Press and let go the right signal once
7) Repeat for each of the last three numbers of the PIN (left 5 times, right once, left 2 times, right once, left 2 times, right once)
8) Red key on speedo will stop blinking if done right (security has been disarmed)
NOTE: Steps 2 through 7 must be completed in quick succession of each other.

That is how I did it but I wasn't paying attention to the red "key" light. When the bike gets back on Monday, I will try once again. I tried this with the key far enough away that it wouldn't start normally. Thanks and I hope this works.

It does work! I was trying to start once the last number was seen on the speedo, I wasn't pressing the right signal to disarm the alarm first. Thanks again for all the information.

Default Fob

Sorry to post here and in the touring area but I am desperate.
2009 Electra Glide Classic, and here is what happened
Did an errand, came to the bike, security won't disarm. Changed the battery in the fob, nada. Wife brought the second fob, new battery too, nothing.
Had it towed home, put it on the charger 24 hrs, (electrical interference possible) still will not disarm.
Tried to see the alarm code on the odometer but the fobs (both of them) not communicating with the module.
What do I do nextÉ

Refer to your owners manual, or follow the instructions at post #2 above. If you don't have the book, you may be able to download on on the H-D website, go to the Owners tab.
