Question thru batteries again

I have another dead battery last a month! Now won't hold charge.
Everything electrically is new and includes wiring regulator stator starter ign battery earth straps all of which run through a motogadget m unit v2 box bike sta rats first push and runs great only problem is that I am now on my 5th battery as they go flat and won't recharge or melt terminals all run on optimate or oxford 900 tender charger ??

I cannot find the culprit or reason it does this but bike is 89 evo everything has been checked over and over .

Does anybody have any help to solve please.

There is a parasitic drain that is discharging the bike faster than the tender can replenish it.

Start with a good charging system test:

Then search for the circuit causing the drain:

There is also an Evo sub forum here with a lot of knowledgeable people:

too many variables...check the current draw and go from there. It could be something as simple as a loose battery connection to your tender cooking the battery. Have you tried NOT using the tender?

Also, even a little corrosion can cause weird and elusive problems like this. Sometimes you just have to start pulling things apart and looking for something not right, and sometimes you cannot find anything wrong and it all works great when you get it back together. When that happens, you are in for a world of problems.

Good luck!

No reason to use a battery tender on an `89 model bike unless it only gets ridden once a year.

Melting terminals is a symptom of a bad connection.

Perform a parasitic draw test.

Also check your battery cables for good connection, and make sure they are not internally corroded.
