Battery Light
2104 Street Bob. Little over 7K miles.
Recently installed V&H Short Shots and PCV with as close a tune as I can find recommended by Dyna-Jet.
When I installed the exhaust and waited for the PCV I forgot to hook up the battery tender. After a couple weeks or more the battery was to weak to start the bike. No biggie charged the battery and I was good.
Now I have taken it on a few rides some only to work about 10min away and another all day ride.
Now after riding for a while out of the blue the battery light will come on. Then at that point I notice when I come to a stop the RPMs will climb up. I go from a idle of about 1000 RPM to 1400 RPM and more. The bike will otherwise ride fine and starts up ok after. It seems if I let it sit for a while then go to ride the light won't come on, at least not for a while.
I have had the battery tested, it was good.
I have checked the connections at the battery, regulator and rest of the charging system, all seems to be ok.
The check engine light does NOT come on just the battery light.
I pulled all the codes and I did have a P052 Low ECM Voltage.
None the less the issue doesn't seem to be very consistent. Possibly the regulator on its way out?
Any my suggestions on where to start?
