Wide Glide LED headlignt
Running a 2012 Wide Glide. Upgraded to an LED headlight replacement. It was not the Harley Daymaker. I went with another highly rated after market unit. Everything fit well and the light looked great - bright and shiny. Problem came after about an hour riding on High Beam. My security light came on (I have no security system) This has always indicated a bulb failure. I continued riding but could not get out of high beam. I rode for a while and then it did go to low but the security indicator stayed lit. I called the headlight company and they had never heard of this. Code check later indicated High beam output open Low Beam output open and High bean output shorted. Headlamp went back to manufacturer. Now I am looking into the Harley Daymaker but 400 is twice the price as my previous model. Just checking has anyone had any code issues with the Daymaker on a Dyna? I do not want to go through the same hassle. My dealer said I would not but you know.......he wants to sell product. I have read of some LOW BEAM issues. I just need some feedback before plopping down 4 big ones.

Have a 2015 Sportster 883 Superlow. Installed a non Harley brand Daymaker LED headlight replacement. Started riding and after about 15 miles my High Beam indicator light came on followed soon by my security light (nor do I have a security system) and stayed on. After reading your posting I will start my investigation of this problem based on your experience.
