I just installed the factory security system 41000021D on my 17 heritage the engine will start briefly then die the security light comes on what am I going to have to do to get this to work? If I could I would like to stay away from the dealer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Reason: Misspelling
I'm afraid that the BCM for the security system needs to be married to the ECM which requires the dealer computer to do, likewise with the fob assignment.
Earlier non canbus models gave you the oppurtunity to do yourself but not a 2017.
In saying that, it's a quick process to do the marrying and assigning, probably takes no more than a 5 minutes.
Installing your old BCM, riding down to the shop and changing back the new BCM in the car park might be an option although it's located in a difficult to access place I know.
