Default brake light not working

hey guys, I have a 2011 Street Glide. Recently got my bike out of winter storage mode. I noticed my brake light is no longer working. Been doing a lot of digging into it and its really starting to puzzle me. Long story short I've determined that both my hand lever brake and foot brake don't seem to be triggering my brake relay. I get no kind of clicking from the relay at all when manually triggering my brake switches. All my fuses are good. Ive swapped the brake relay to determine its working. Its like my switches aren't getting any power and not sending a signal to the relay to activate the brake light. I have power to all my fuses and at the relay. Not really sure what to be looking for at this point. All other lighting is working properly. Turn signals, running lights, headlight. The only thing I see is the brake light wont activate. Any suggestions would be great.

Welcome to the Forum.
Pull the connector at the rear brake switch and turn the Ign on, do you have power on the O/W wire? Do you have ABS?

Different wiring for bikes with ABS.
Do you know how to check diodes?
First pull the brake relay and with ign on see if you have 12 v on 3A from the brake fuse. Then pull the brake lever and see if you have 12 v at 2a from the diodes.

You could turn ign off and put a jumper in 3A to 2 b and turn it back on just to check light should come on.

Sorry I'm a major rookie when it comes to using this meter and electrical. So I'm not 100% about the diodes. Or where they even are. All I know about them is they let current in one way but not the other. I have 12v at my brake fuse with brake relay pulled.

How about 12v at 2A with ign on and either the front brake lever pulled in or the rear brake pedal down?

I think my meter is auto ranging? so I cant switch the amps? like I said major rookie. :-p voltage to the brake fuse doesn't seem to change when either of the brakes are engaged.

Doesn't look like I'm getting anything out of 2a. 3a has 12v. 3a to 2b jump did finally activate the brakes.

See if you can find the diode pack and unplug the connector

Look at the drawing in post 4 of the diode pack and see if you can test from post 1-4 and 2 - 3, open this link to learn how to test diodes.
