Default Security system questions

I have a Thunder Mountain Custom, it’s mostly harley parts. It came with the Harley security fob, but it does nothing, I’ve left it at home and the bike still starts. Now I have a security light on. Any ideas?

I believe it iindicates a burnt out turn signal bulb or stored DTC code?

You may be onto something. I just installed LED turns and didn’t install the load equalizer.

If it is easy to do so, swap back to the original bulbs and see if the code goes away. On the other hand your bike obviously has some sort of diagnostics, does it have canbus? If so it may not need an equalizer, just a magic tweek of the system, to adjust to your LEDs.

We put LED turn signals on the front of our bikes and CD had a reset procedure but I don't remember what it was. This was on their site.

Go into diagnostic mode (run switch to in and trip reset held while turning on the ignition switch) check for codes B1121 and B1122 those will be the turn signal codes.

Thanks vernal, I tried it, no difference. I think it’s too old to have canbus.
