One tip for zip ties is to use flush cutters to trim them, that will leave a blunt square end...diagonal cutters leave a VERY sharp end than can cut skin, etc.
Flush cutters should always be used when cutting zip ties, if they are cut with regular diagonal cutters the edge can be like a razor.
