Default Brake light

I have a 2006 fltri (roadglide). Just brought it out for the season and have an issue with my brake lights staying on once it warms up. I have found that it happens when the foot brake is applied. I believe that I have tracked it down to the switch located near the swingarm (photos attatched). Has anyone else had this issue or have any information on what might be causing this to happen? Thank you for any help.

Switch for back brake is hydraulic. If the light is staying on it might be the piston in the master cylinder is sticking. I have found it takes very little effort for the switch to operate.

pull the connector off that switch in your photo and if the light goes out, the switch is bad. Not expensive and easy to replace. If it doesn't, check the front switch. If both switches are good, you have a wire shorting to ground somewhere.

I agree. Verify as above and replace if necessary. The switch is in a bad location. Its close to the pipe and the heat can cause problems.

There was a recall, but if I remember correctly it was for 2008 and up. Many think they didn't go back far enough.
