The tachometer works fine with bike stationary....as long as the bike is not moving. It goes through all the numbers and is accurate.
Problem arises when the bike starts moving... once the tach get to 2k.....it bounces all over the place. It even spins around where there are no numbers.
Pulled the outer fairing and the connector is tight and didn’t see any chaffing.
Since the tach works as long as the bike is not moving...I believe the tach is the problem. Is there a way to test the tach?
They’re easy to find on eBay....we’re gonna get a used one and see what happens. We’ve found someone at the airport that specializes in avionics....said he can test it.
