I would put my money on, if he builds his own. He will chase gremlins until he sells it.
How did that contribute anything meaningful to the question posed?
If you can't participate in an adult discussion as an adult then sit back and watch how the grownups conduct themselves so you'll be better equipped to function properly in adult society. Master that and then learn who your speaking to by asking thoughtful, pointed probing questions and seak clarification for any remaining ambiguities through the use of reflective listening techniques. Then, probably not but just maybe, you'll be ready to contribute, usefully, to this discussion.

Youre new around here. Ya better thicken your skin and take a chill pill. Cause you aint seen nothing yet.

What does the length of time in forum have to do with keeping a reply on topic?
I don't need thicker skin, I need color coded wire. I don't need useless responses, I need color coded wire. I don't need your baseless threats, I need color coded wire.
I suspect sir, it is your skin which has been stretched so taught over a frame, equally as frail as your executive functioning, as to contribute to it's nearly transparent appearance. Much like a fart, the one who cries foul first, is generally the guilty party.
But, to return to the discussion at hand, have a lead on where I can find color coded wire?

Dang dude. You missed my point. Here it is simpler.
It is quite common for a thread to go off topic. Further, there are a lot of people that have a lot of experience with motorcycles and mechanics. When someone asks a question, that in their judgment, seems like maybe they are going off base, people will offer their opinions. Its just the way it is. And that my friend is why I offered this advise to someone that is new around here. But, you got your answer, so good luck.
My first comment stands. I have a degree in electronics and I would rather sell a bike and buy a new one before I built a harness. Our bikes are not a stripped down American Choopers bike. A complex build like that without a peg board will lead to more problems than it will cure. Then when you have pulled out your last hair good luck getting anyone to fix it. I restored a vintage Honda 1973 CB360 and I had not one wiring issue. Find a replacement for what you cut up and ride the bike. BTW a short is easy to find in comparison to an open.

So, to be clear: with a degree in electronics and presumably a career, even someone with your background doesn't know where one can find color coded wire? Is that correct?

I told you where to find color coded wire in post #2.
I`m pretty sure no one else is going to put much effort into helping you at this point.
Bye.

I work for a very large company that makes some of there own wire bundles. All of our wire and connectors are Mil-Spec I dont know where or even cared to look into where we get our wire. They are on 50-100 meter spools.

Wire is one thing, do you have the molex connectors, crimp ends, correct crimping tools ( couple different types you'll need ) shrink tubing, outer loom cover material, small loom sheathing, specialty crimp ends for large terminations like ground points and a few other odds & ends I've forgotten you will need besides wire.
Hunt Ebay both auto parts and surplus sections for wire but some colors will be problematic unless special ordered in 100' + rolls.
Took me years to accumulate all of the above and I do my own wiring on my custom builds. More time consuming than you think it will be , take my word for that please.
