Yes and no, plenty of times you will see people discuss all kinds of test procedures and such, why repeat that?
It's yes. Start new thread. This guy is asking a question.
If you find something that might be pertinent to your problem why not go to the top of your browser and copy the link and paste in your thread.
I clearly explained why he should start a new thread.
Sorry it was too complicated for you to comprehend, but I don`t possess the writing skills to make the explanation any simpler.
And I clearly explained why I don't think it is always best to start a new thread. We disagree. It is not the first time.
I do think there is nothing wrong with hoping the orginal owner replies when his thread is bumped. Even if he is not active he may have it set up to email him when there is a post. I do this on sites I don't go to regularly. Which may be the case for someone seeking help for a problem.
It is nice when people follow up with the issue.
Nothing says he still cannot start another thread, but he simply asked what was the problem with this guys bike.
I found my issue. The rotor splines were stripped and it would spin only at higher rpm and in the lower rpm it was slipping over the crank shaft.
I personally hate it when people never follow up on their threads and leave they open/unanswered which is why Im replying here in case someone else comes across this thread looking for help.

FWIW, I had the problem but spines weren't stripped. The center was broken out..
[QUOTE=Jake707;21938696]I know this is an old thread but was there ever a resolution? I have an 05 road king in my garage Im working on and having the same issue and about the same test results as done here
In the end it was a chewed out rotor spline that meant the rotor wasn't spinning under load. Rotor replaced and tightened properly. No issues since.
In both cases where the splines in the rotor were stripped out. It's worthwhile to trim 0.060" of the bottom of the crank nut, or add a spacer under the nut. Some setups have an issue with the parts stackup on the crank where the nut bottoms on the splines and limits clamping pressure on the stackup.
