I am no impressed with the volume although I have never set it off outside. The sound may carry better out of doors. It will let people know that the bike is wired so in that sense it is a bit of a deterent. I did hear it go off in the garage the other night while whatching the game on tv so it is ok. In my opinion, 'siren' is a bit of a stretch.
It's a nice spot to tuck that in but you lose decibels for sure. That wouldn't be an issue for me. I checked my bike for a similar location but no luck. Still, plenty of room under the seat for mine.
JUNE 10 2023 - My bike was stolen in broad daylight at a very busy Brewery/restaurant in a small town, low crime area. It was parked in plain site on the main street infront of people sitting outside. Nobody saw anything. No cameras caught it. It’s gone. I was only n there 40-45 minutes.
GET AN ALARM… IT CAN AND WILL HAPPEN ANYWHERE
PROBABLY GONE FOREVER…..INSURANCE IS A JOKE.
