Default What am I missing?
I installed a side mount license plate on my Softail. It has a built in LED light with a simple +/- hookup. I can not get the light to come on, even if I run the positive to the battery, and run the negative to the frame, or to the negative on the battery. Before I hit up the manufacturer or the place I bought, am I having a brain fart and missing something obvious?

Did you try reversing the wires? LED, light emitting diode, diodes only allow current to flow in one direction. If that doesn't work the unit is probably defective.

I did, and that didn’t work either. I’m guessing defective too.
