Default wiring a license plate LED?
hey all,

i got a horizontal side mount for my 07 FXDB....didn't come with a light....so went to JP cycles and bought the LED horizontal light that bolts up.... do i splice into the 'constant' in the harness that illuminates the tail light?

you can run it to a number of things... i hard lined mine in and tapped it to my LED switch.

well i don't have an LED switch.... but i suppose i could hardline it to the battery and buy a switch ....but i figured i'd just keep it constant when i turn the bike on

right behind your battery box is your plug for the wires that run your brake light and turns

you can tap into a power line off that... and it will turn on and off wiht the bike

i do not have a service manual so i do not know what is a constant power. sorry man, i want to say the #8 terminal
