Good morning all and hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

Just wanted to update. After more prompting by Ed Ramberger, I double checked my fuses. Turns out the #5 battery fuse was indeed blown. So Ed suggested checking the speed sensor for a short. That was ok. I traced it down to the speedometer itself. The speedometer was shorted out (not sure why) 5 (batt) and 7(gnd) shorted at the speedometer, but that was the cause. TSSM works fine once I unplug the speedo and the bike starts and runs continuously. Ordered a speedo and will make sure that all is good.

Thank you all for your help. A special thanks to Ed.

Glad you were able to get the bike running.

Make sure your father in law knows his PIN, in case he ever needs to use it.

Yours uses:

68923-00C Security - fob needed. I have one of these, feel free to PM me.

68923-00D is just a supercession for security.

Was battery recently dead or did bike sit a long time?
Any chance you still have the TSSM 68923-00C?

Hello, I have a 2005 FXDCI with 3 error codes. b1121, U1097, U1064. I found the broken wire to the turn signal and fixed that. b1121 and U1097 were able to clear but U1064 cannot. When I turn the bike on my turn signals don't work or my start button and I have the red key on my speedo. If I lock and unlock my bike with my fob my turn signals work. My Tssm module is 68923-00C. I did try to ground the start relay wire and I still couldn't get the bike to start. All my fuse test good. Looking for any information or the next step. This is my first Harley so all of this new to me.
Thank you,
Josh
