Red face OIL TEMP METER

MY ELECTRA GLIDE FLHTC 1988 OIL TEMP METER NOT WORKING WHERE IS THE SENSOR LOCATION ?

oil pressure sending unit is located right hand side of the vehicle behind the rear cylinder's tappet lifter block

Not sure on your bike and it's probably be an addon for the bike.. I'd look on the oil tank or the oil feed line to the pump.

That is the oil pressure sending unit (the part pictured is for the warning light).

I don`t see an oil temp gauge on the wiring diagram.

The oil temperature sending unit ( 74405-86 ) is located at the oil tank

Are you sure your bike is an 1988 FLHTC?
MoCo parts catalog does not show an oil temp meter in the 1988 FLHTC model. It does show up at 86 and 87 FLTC, FLHT and FHLTC models though
