Hi everyone. I have a 2006 Electra Glide Classic with the factory security system with 16K miles on it. While riding the other day I noticed the security light (red key) come on for a few seconds then went off. When I stopped and restarted the bike later on, I noticed that after the bike was running for 10 seconds and the securoty light would come on for 5 seconds then go off. Every time I leave the bike I set the alarm with the fob as well as disarming it. I really don't want to take it to the dealer unless I have to. My local dealer doesn't have a good reputation with repairs done right the first time. Any and all help is appreciated.
i found this on another site months ago and kept it.
For 2001 and up Harley Davidsons with TSSM Security Module, (key icon displays when key is turned to ignition position)
if your security light stays on for a prolonged period of time, if you have changed your battery or disconnected your battery when fitting components such as LED turns & if you have fitted LED turns without a load equalizer, you will need to reprogram your OEM Module.
