Really dumb question about headlight adjustment

Default Really dumb question about headlight adjustment
In order to adjust the headlight on my 2005 Sportster, it says to remove the snap plug from the headlight bracket to reveal the nut you have to loosen in order to adjust the headlight. The plug on mine is smooth and chrome finished. How do you remove it without scratching it?

put some electrical tape over a small flat head screw driver
