Default Breathing Problem/ oil consumption

So it appears I have a bad intake valve seal rear cylinder and I am also sucking a lot of oil through the TB? I run the oil a little low and I am finally tired of the usage and wondering- SOOOOOO time to fix it!!

Look at the rear cylinder pic and the oil at the rear behind the valve also the oil in the rest of the shots.

UPDATE here is a shot of the bad seal....

Comments?

REAR

FRONT

Bad seal should be round roght

I would have them flowed while there off the bike and have bronze valve guides fitted or find a set off heads for a 06 dyna or 07,08,09 models as they reportedly flow better theirs all ways a few on ebay with low miles.

These heads have been ported, cc-ed and flowed they are the SE performance heads so I am thinking just the valve seal should do it? I am more concerned with the oil in the TB there was a lot which leads me to believe high crank case pressure???

You'll frequently see oil run out of the intake when you pull the TB. Often, it what is being sucked back in via the crankcase breather vents that "usually" are plumbed back into the air cleaner backplate.

In this case, it appears to be coming thru the valve guide. It looks like a little drop at the bottom of the guide in one of the pics. Additionally, the back side of that valve has some seriously burn on oil. Looks like a safe bet that this one's leaking.

You're right.... I've been out riding!

"If" you have been running the breather vents back into the air cleaner, take this opportunity to route that to an external catch can. It will help in a number of ways. It will prevent the oily crap from blowing back into the TB and fresh charge. Furthermore, the air that is venting out is HOT. Heat is not your friend here either. The cooler the incoming charge, the more efficient the burn. Translation: More POWER!

Do you think a mis aligned pump could cause enough presure to blow the dip stick?
