And if a forged piston is needed for the projected 103" combo,(compression and precision, large, valve reliefs) along with at least a hone, if not a bore.......then going to a 107" is certainly the way.

While a 107 has more potential because of the extra cubes my stock cast piston 103 makes 112tq/113 hp with basic headwork, 54 cams and tune. There are lots of 103s doing better out there also. Unless ya have cash ya don't need I'm not a big fan of tossing perfectly good pistons/rings/cylinders for 4 cubes.
Hi my name is Frank do you do you still have this bike I have a 12 street glide with the 103 it have full duel Vance n Hines exhaust stage 1 air cleaner and a pro tuner I would like more power and seen you are doing great with your build can u help me out

Cams for sure. Heads too if you can swing it. You won't regret it.
.......all depends how bad you really want the extra HP. I would go for the 107, between the two. Harley stuff is just OK, but it's cookie cutter parts. Yes, others may have a 107 or whatever, but I'd like to break away from HD parts a bit cause there are some many more cam, head, and other options in general to make it really your own.
No to mention it will sound completely different from any other HD.
I have a 09 Softail custom 96 cubic inch need a little more pep behind it was thinking about going 107 with a good set of Ambush pipes so she will talk to you at stop lights and going down the road any inputs on this

107" is a good plan if the combination of parts plays well together. Never heard of Ambush pipes but from what I read, they are basically drag pipes which will be very loud and not the best choice. Consider sticking with a known product like V&H, D&D, Bassani, Python, Rinehart, etc. Look at some dyno charts and see what others have used on 107" builds.
Considering that the OP is 5 years old, might be a good idea to start a new thread on your build.

Give him break, it took me a while before I made my first post, and it takes a bit of time to figure out protocol around these forums if you have any manners
I guess we are just used to folks coming in here like a tornado, blurting out every thought that comes to their head, not doing a lick of searching or research and arguing with well respected members with facts gathered from the guy down at the bar who's brother knows something about Harleys btw anybody heard from tommyblazin lately?
