"knocking noise driving me nuts"
Ok this knocking noise I hear when I start my bike when the bike is hot. I have a 2010 softail deluxe with a 107 revolution big bore kit, "Larry Hardy" performance heads. S&S 585 easy cams, screaming eagle adj. push rods, stock efi,Samson true dual heads with thunder header slip ones. Ok what it sounds like is when u start a car that has bad lifters and u can hear them loud and clear. That's what it sounds like for the 1st 3 to 4 revolutions of the motor after it starts. It's done it since the build but it's just driving me nuts. The build was at 3,400 miles and now it's turning 22,000. HELP!

He had this posted in the softail section, no real response over there, It sounds to me that you have a lifter bleeding down to quickly.. The manual should help you in diagnose a bad lifter... The S&S premium are the way to go....
