Big bore build chirping on cold start

Mechanic tore down the rear cylinder w/ 180 compression. He said the compression ring was upside down and one of the rigs had a larger gap than it should have. I was almost positive I put those rings on right but I am human. It was letting some oil past so hopefully that fixes it. The front cylinder he didnt recommend tearing down since the compression is holding. I hope to ride her home on Saturday.

Keep an eye on your engine oil level and primary oil level. If the compression ring was upside down for 1,000 miles, you were pressurizing the crankcase for quite a while. The sprocket shaft seal could have gotten pushed partway out. This will cause engine oil to enter the primary, filling it up.
