striped compression release

Put compression releases in earlier this yr went to take them out today to clean due to getting alittle sticky and the rear one stripped the head where socket holds on...used never seize when installed..snugged dn with 1/4 turn past that as always.. any ideas on getting it out??

There are other types of sockets that claim to work with rounded-off bolt shoulders. You might try one of those and then run the engine for a while to get the heads hot before you try to back it out.

Needle nose vise grips won't grab that?

try a metric socket,next size smaller than a 1/2" socket
