Default break in question

I asked this in another thread but figured I should start one.

I made a dumb mistake and lugged the engine with about 10 miles on it during break in.

What happened was I was at a parking lot and stopped already and tried to shift to neutral and must have shifted to 3rd, I stepped on the shifter and thought I was in first when I took off again. it started moving but I knew I must have been in a higher gear and had to start shift down.

It's been bothering me and I hope I did not do any damage. Other than that mess up i've followed the break in guide lines. Is it possible I did any damage this early?

Thanks for the help.

Your fine. If that was all it took to damage an air cooled V Twin, no one would buy them.

No worries, stop thinking about it and enjoy the newly rebuilt motor.

The only worry you should have about "lugging" the engine is if you were to constantly do it all the time while shifting. Ride on.

Thanks, I was hoping I was just over thinking things. Went for a ride and felt much better.
