I'm thinking about upgrading to screaming eagle heads on my 2000 roadglide. Does anyone have any knowledge about them and are they worth the time and money it will cost. Bike runs great but I'm just looking for a way get a little more out of it. Love to hear any input.
I've got a 2000 Road Glide Screamin Eagle that comes with stock heads and a big bore 95" kit,, (along with 203 cams (now Andrews 26's)) from the Factory. With a 2 into 1 exhaust I pull close to 85 HP and 95 ft/lbs torque - That's almost 30% more than your stocker.
If you go with heads, you need cams (and pistons ideally too,) to get that good of a result for a lot more money than the Big Bore option.
Thanks, glad to finally get on here. My dad has been talking about what he's read on here and just relayed the info to me and my brother. I changed my cams out last year. Figured i would have to bore my cylinders and get new pistons and rings while I'm at it.
Heads alone will not give you any help, as a matter of fact they may or will hurt the bikes overall performance. Best to look into a performance kit to upgrade from Fuelmoto, S&S, or one of the sponsors here on the forum like Hillside.
