Default Push rods

2015 breakout 103 motor.
Changing cams this winter. I have a set of 255 I never put in my last bike. I have a set of 18400-03 as well as a set of 18401-03 push rods. The 18400 are stock length the 18401 is .030 longer. I read a lot about more preload on the lifter helps quiet them down. Can I run the longer push rod. Or is that to much?

Don't know about the push rods working, but I would sell them and buy a set of adjustable push rods. Will make the cam swap a lot simpler, no need to pull fuel tank and rocker boxes. Then you can adjust to quiet valve train.

I agree with Big Money... I just did a cam install and adjustable pushrods are the way to go!
