Just doing a lil research for a friend, He's got a 99 ultra and it has had cam work and piston upgrade, Not sure what cam but the pistons are 3 7/8 +10 over.
My question is can you use stock pushrods for 203,204,wood 6 cams ?
He doesnt want to use the adjustable pushrods because he doesnt feel they are strong enough and bend which is why we are replacing them...
So can I just go and get a stock set and install without complications ?
Adjustable pushrods are certainly strong enough.Changing anything in the valve train requires that you know the piston to valve clearance, top keeper to guide clearance, the rockerarm travel on valve stem, and finally that the valves are totally closing.
