Unless you have the early SE Performance cylinder heads (I doubt it) the chambers should be about 85-86cc. Use a .030" Cometic MLS head gasket and have the heads decked about .025". That will set static CR at about 9.65; a good but conservative number. If the heads are off, might as well take advantage and get the most for the dollar spent.

The pan part number is 62489-99a; about $150 from an online discount dealer. The piston oiler are less than $20 each; PN 22315-06A. Good luck!
By the way, I was totally wrong about the heads. I would have sworn that he said the kit came with heads, but looking through the boxes, it did not.

Figure I will try to follow the hydraulic circuit, but would love any experience here. Also included a shot with the hybrid cam support plate installed, just because it looks so pretty.
Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that hole is only used by Softail models. I don't have any screen on my Dyna which is similar to your friends Touring bike in how the oil is delivered to/from the tank. By the way great job so far. I just split my cases and replaced bearings and seals. To get that crank seal out I had a hard time not having a slide hammer to pull on the screws. I used a bearing race puller instead, worked like a charm.

Awesome. Thank you for the info. I didn't figure this could be an issue considering he had 40,000 miles on this engine case, but wanted to make sure. If it was a problem, now is the time to address it.

Been so busy I haven't had time to post the progress on this.

He has the chip flashed as of today. Bike is running smooth with just a bit more power and lope.
