Default Looking for advice for 106 build

Looking for advice on winter build. I am installing S&S 106" into a '07 FXDB 96". Currently has S&S intake, two brothers exhaust, power commander. I am having the heads ported and polished. The bike will be dyno'd when done. I plan on doing most of the work myself. I have read the posts and now I am more confused. What advice on cams? I want to use solid push rods not adjustable. Bike is used as commuter in spring//summer/fall @ 40 miles one way. Also, which tappets/lifters are recommended? Thanks for any input, opinions or advice. Relatively new on forum but long time lurker.

first, ide have your cylinders bored for a 107" kit (cheaper, more compression options),as far as cams go,give us more idea of what your looking for (power at what RPM range & will it be a touring build or more of a hotrod build) ide also be hoping your head porter is waiting to hear a cam/compression decision before doing any headwork

I already bought the S&S 106 kit at what I thought was a good price. The bike is mainly used on the expressway for commuting. So midrange is important. Not looking to do to much hotrodding, just more power and torque. Thanks you for any direction. Also the shop is waiting for my cam decision before starting.

Low-mid powerhouse at only a tame 10.0 cr with our Stage II heads in a 110" cylinder kit (only 4 less at 106") with a Cyclerama .575 just went off at 113 plus hp and 131 ft/lbs.

cyclerama .575 or S&S .570,set at 10.0-1 would both be good choices
