Default Performing a CCP test

Ok maybe I am tired blind or just frustrated. But i can't find the answer.. Want to do a CCP check today on my 2015 StreetGlide. What all steps do I need to make sure I do.. I kmow I need to pull the fuel pump fuse. What about the plugs? Ground them or is there a fuse I can pull? What about the ACR...

Never done it myself, but this is what I found with a quick Google search.

Pull the plugs, insert the plugs back in the coil wire boots, ground the plugs to part of the cylinder or head(keeps a load on the coil), insert the compression tester in one of the spark plug holes, open the throttle wide open and crank until the pressure reading stabilizes. Then do the other cylinder.

Been awhile for me but I turned off the ACRs with my Power Vision tuner, and make sure your battery is charged up - I left mine connected during the check.

jkloeker pretty much has it. The important thing is your battery is charged. Engine cold, (Cold Cranking Compression). You should pull the fuel pump fuse. Alligator clips on plugs to cylinder heads works okay. Guess you do need to disable the ACR's for your bike. Crank it over until it stops moving the needle.

I got higher readings by holding open the throttle blade. With TBW the blade will barely open while cranking.

Can someone turn the heat on please... It's 12 degrees in my garage... That's the true definition of Ccp.... Thanks for the tips..I have done this plenty of times on my muscle cars... Fuel injected harleys are totally different!

Just wondering about the plugs, why put them back in the wires and ground them? I've done hundreds of compression checks over the years but have never heard this before.

Keeps the load on the coils I guess to prevent damage. I guess it's safety overkill as I've never bothered either...

If it's that big a deal why not just unplug the coil?
