Quick pushrods help
I installed woods tw777 cams without a hitch nice and straight forward install. When I was installing my quick install adjustable pushrods, I put the front cylinder intake lifter at the lowest point while the exhaust lifter was all the way up. After installing the intake pushrod I rotated the engine, till the exhaust lifter was all the way down and installed that one. Now my question is, after going over the instructions, I realized that both lifters needed be at the lowest position. I did NOT start the engine yet. Did I do this wrong? Should I take the pushrods back out and do them again so I know they're correct. Thanks guys
It doesn't matter how you did it as long as the lifter was completely on the base circle for the pushrods you adjusted. You do need to let the lifter bleed until you can turn it with your fingers before rotating toe motor to avoid the valve touching something it shouldn't.
Thanks buddy I thought it wouldn't matter as long as the lifter was down. I did rotate the engine via the wheel while the one pushrod wasn't bled down. Hopefully didn't hurt anything
