How to make my Shovelhead "cackle" when I pull the clutch in??
What makes the engine do this? Is it stiffer valve springs? Larger valves? Higher than stock compression? The bike currently has a Andrews A/B grind cam and is bored .30 Over stock, engine is a 1976. My dad has a 93 ci sidewinder Shovelhead I believe and it sounds like a fire breathing dragon when he pulls in the clutch. Lets face it Harleys are about appearance and show, when I finish building my bike I want it to make this sound. Someone please tell me how. Thank you in advance for any and all advice!
Its running 2" drag pipes now and doesn't do it unless I run the RPMs up high as hell, will switching to 1-3/4 make that much difference? My dads shovel cracks when you pull the clutch in even if your only at 1k or at any speed in any gear, I think there is more going on than just pipes. His bike also hauls A$$ and he is running 2" straight pipes as well so what's the difference here?

Random video I found of the sound I am talking about. Thanks for the constructive advice! But I think there is more going on than just exhaust, my dad says its higher performance heads with bigger/ stronger valve springs stopping the flow of the fuel, basically like a "controlled" backfire. Just wanting someone to confirm this or tell me, no its "this, this, and this" before I start spending money. Also does anyone know a reputable shop to work on my heads?
