So in the fall I am replacing my cams, tensioner shoes, having the cylinders bored to 98 and having stage 1 headwork done.
I have an 05 FLSTSC (springer classic)
What special tools will I need? I already have the shop manual and I plan on getting an inner cam bearing installer/remover. I have torque wrenches both ft/lb and in/lb and a very good tool box. I also have the CYCO tensioner shoe jig and the new shoes. I also already have the Torrington B148 inner cam bearings.
Do I need special tools like the snap-on dog bones for the rocker boxes?
What is the best option for the outer cam bearings in the cam plate? Take it to a shop to have cams/bearings pressed out and new ones pressed back in or is there another way?
Any tips/help to prevent me from making mistakes is greatly appreciated!
Watch the videos from Fuel-Moto . I'm pretty sure that they show a line-up of all the tools that they use. The videos are on their website and maybe Youtube as well.

The shop that is doing the work is in another state and I will be mailing my heads and cylinders to them for the work. I doubt they would lend me the tools but you never know.
Thanks for the link and help. I have seen the caveman method and knowing my luck I would F*!K it up but if that is what I have to do then that is what I have to do.
When I was a diesel mechanic in the Army we always used a brass drift to knock out bearing races and install new ones but those were heavy duty.
