2009 ultra
current mods:
freedom performance 2" stepped head pipe
cfr 1.75 mufflers(made a reducer)
Parts for build
s&s 106 kit
S&S 89 cc heads( .640 maximum lift, 2" intake/ 1.605 exhaust valves)
.03 head gasket for aprox 10:1 compression
Looking for torque/power in the 1700-4500 range which is where i mostly ride, however if a certain cam selection is better for my setup riding rpm range could be adjusted.
cams im looking at (bigboyz calc)
T-man 555 torqster-9.33:1 ccr and 196 ccc
cyclerama 575-9.41:1 ccr and 196 ccc (tuner has never used this cam and suggested other, putting it out here because of targeted 9.4 ccr and 195ccp)
I've read these 3 cams are all very similar
drago 580 -cam(not in the calc)
kuryaky 24d- cam(not in the calc)
andrew tw57- 9.3:1 ccr and 193.1 ccp
Im not looking for a big dyno number, just better rideability at a reasonable cost. Are these cams all going to produce similar numbers at different rpm ranges? Are they all going to me similar? Or could someone give me a good idea of what to expect from the t man 555 vs the drago/etc style cam id greatly apreciate it.
I used to have woods 555 cams in my stock 103. I switched to woods 999-6A and think that cam has a broader torque curve. Just something else to think about.
We have the original version here as well as that one.
Also, Cam Analyzer, Quartermaster, and Quartermaster Jr.
Gives a good idea as to what to expect.

107"
touring porting on your OEM castings (the S&S heads are better suited for higher RPM builds,1.900-1.575 valves using your castings will work much better for what your looking for)
S&S .583 cams set @ 9.8-1
we`ve done this build many times on touring bikes with very nice results

We stock Wood, Cyclerama, Andrews, S&S cams are all here in our arsenal.
Also Comp, original Sifton, Lieneweber, Dave Makie, and Crane, on the shelves.
Even a couple S/E cams.
Pick and choose where we need to go once we go over the particulars with the bike owner.
