Ok thanks guys for the responses. It is a 2012 lol. Yeah I've never liked the syn3 but that's all they carried. So lifters, and pushrods? Or will I just need lifters? Thanks.
I would start by replacing the lifters which is not a major task but certainly a DIY project. Just need the service manual and basic hand tools.
The noise in the video is a rocker arm; lash in that valve train which is most likely due to a lifter that has bled down. The fact that the noise is intermittent is more evidence that the source of the noise is a faulty lifter that is slow to pump up. A set of lifters will cost about $65 for a set of CompCams VThunder lifters or about $125 for a set of S&S Standards. Sounds like only one offender but buy a set and replace them all. If the bike is '11 or later, the OEM lifters have a history of failure.
I would also dump the Syn3 next oil change and go back to a good conventional 20W50 or synthetic if that floats your boat.
Ok just ordered the s&s standards, and the rock out rocker shaft inserts ( figured while I was in there). Hopefully will get it back up next week. I'll keep y'all posted thanks for the guidance hope this fixes it.

Thanks for the help guys! This was it, got the s&s standards pit in yesterday and she is purring like a kitten again. Also put in the rock out sleeves and I can't believe how well they work for being so simple lol. It's really quite now lol
We used to get that all the time when people trailered bikes in gear - we called it trailered lifters. When the bike is trailered in gear, the rocking really works the oil out of the lifters on the ramps of the cams. It happens because there is no oil pressure to pump up the lifters but because it's in gear the lifters are being worked. Turning them on and off several times usually pumps the lifters right back up. Trailering in neutral doesn't cause this.

Wow that's good to know! Thanks!! I replaced the lifters anyways because it continued for a week and got way worse so as an insurance policy I said screw it and replaced them! If I had to pay Harley I might not have lol. But it was a fun project me and my buddy worked on, only took us 4 hours with a food break and Harley called for 6 hours lol.
