Game plan is key... throwing money at the wrong combination of go fast parts won't work...

My stage 4 kit with the pipes I have now would barely go around a twin cooled stage 1.

Now... I barely have to hit the throttle.

Plan plan and more plan.. then win and grin

What air filter are you running? I did cams, heads, and pipes on my 103, but was still running a factory '14 model air cleaner. bike ran pretty good, but power dropped off in the upper rpm ranges. Changed out the air cleaner to one with a lot better flow, and it made a huge difference. It pulls very well all the way to the rev limiter now, and feels much stronger all the way through.

a 124" can be built fairly inexpensively & built mildly for tons of reliability.my personal 124" is 10.0-1,S&S .570 and does 130/135 and can be touring on anywhere

Okay so the last few days I've been doing a lot of thinking and I think I have came up with a plan. Few things recently happened so as I was thinking about doing a 117ci+ is out the door, So I think what I'm going to do for this winter is get a hold of the two builder that have been commenting on here and I think I am going to do a
107
58mm SE TB
Head work 1.9 & 1.6
5.3 injectors
I want to be able to use my Tman 600sm cams still.

Going to get the 58mm TB ordered so I have it and probably tear the motor down this winter or buy a set of head cores since I have extra cylinders already and that way I don't need to pull my bike apart and wait to put it back together going to check on here and ebay real quick for some heads.

I called TR and told him what I wanted to achieve he gave me his advice and I took it great guy to deal with btw! So anyways I went ahead and did high comp JE pistons 10.5-1 3.3cc dome volume, .040HG Tman 600sm cams, I went in and cleaned the heads up some and the throttle body as well, stayed stock size valves fuelmoto x pipe header. My compression is about 10.3-10.4 which TR said would be fine with the cams.

Now I've ran my bike through the HD race tuner data logging and autotune feature 3 times now each time the bike seems to ran a little bit better/different. I turned the throttle up a .2% as well.

Needless to say my buddy has just cams is pulling on me pretty hard 40-100 hes about 3 bikes ahead of me.

Now what can I do should I take my bike to get tuned better somewhere with a dyno or should I just say f**k it and have a 107 with heads built this winter by Scott or Kirby. I would like to keep my 600sm cams that I have now I really like the power delivery of them. I tried to be cheap the first time around and I guess now I'm paying for it being slower haha
Here are the questions I am asking before opening up my wallet.

What is the weight differences between the bikes with the rider on them? Lighter bike will always go faster.

What is the gearing differences between the bikes? A lowered gear bike will get farther ahead in the short term but a higher geared bike will catch up and pass if distances allows.

What is the riding style differences between the people operating the bikes? More experience will always prevail over inexperience when everything else is equal.

What is the engine differences between the bikes? Just because they are the same displacement doesn't mean that they are using the same parts.

Recently used the 660sm in a 124".
148 ft/lbs peak, carrying 140 ft/lbs out to 5000 rpms.
Dyno chart on our Facebook.
The 600 should work well, surrounded correctly.
