Default How to remove shaft from rocker assembly

I don't have access to my shop manual.. Can anyone tell me. Do I need to press these out?

When my rocker support broke in half i got them out with a rubber hammer and a plastic chisel, sometimes they can be a PITA to get them out, some are a bit stuck, other just slide out with ease.

As mentioned above, nothing holds them in except the cross bolt holding the support down. If you have the pressure off the rocker arms they should push out. Some bikes with some miles on them then shaft ends can get kinda "glued" into the supports, but they should still tap out fairly easily.

If you are taking out the rocker shafts, might as well order a set of Rockout rocker shaft inserts for when it goes back together.

Tap them out toward the side with the retaining bolt. That way the notch in the shaft is out and the rest of the shaft passes through the bushings easier.
