Gee that video showed it to be very bad hey... So the crank journal was out and the case bearing bore was worn too?
I haven't had a HD case apart but just wondering what Scot has to clock up the correct position to bore to accept a sleeve if the bore is worn out of spec?
I'm a machinist so interested in this, just like I said I haven't had a case apart. (Work in a different industry)
I'm guessing he has jigs or something or there is another surface he can use to get it true...

The way I understood Scott was that the sleeve that contains the bearings on the left side case has spun in the housing blocking the oil ports. The only fix is a new sleeve (race) which is a press fit that requires the case to be machined. He is also machining the sleeve. It's not a serviceable part from HD and yea he has all the necessary equipment.

Knowing Scott, if he doesn't have the equipment he will machine the equipment needed to machine the part lol!

What really pisses me off is that the shop that put the stroker crank in said they trued everything and the install went perfect. Well when I initially started the bike for the first time after the rebuild, I noticed the wobble. I took it back to the shop that did the work and I was told not to worry about it. Yea right. Now i'm out 4 g's...

Good luck, but as you know, it costs money to go fast.

I think everyone understands it cost money to go fast. And none of us seem to have a problem with that.

I can speak from experience. The frustrating part is when you spend money to go fast and get a messed up product.

Then have to spend more money to get what you wanted in the begining

I think when it comes to street Harleys, it would be more accurate to say that "it costs money to go kinda fast".

I had a what I figured was the crank on my fxr with 127ci ultima. I also had a belt drive and it's a good thing because you wouldn't have been able to tell until the motor took a **** on you. Anyway it turned out I put too small of a washer behind the rotor. So when the nut was tq down it actually was not tight but sitting on the spline. My front pulley looked just like that until it sheer ed off my pulley bolts. Luckily for me it was a washer .
