Default Cam spacers

Put my cam plate w the Andrews 48Hs back in.
Outer chain sprockets are out of alignment by .020.
Normal?
1st attempt at twin cam stage 2 for me.
Is it possible I have the spacers swapped? I thought I kept everything separated so everything went back where it came from.
Or just get a spacer .020 over and no worries?

The sprockets need to be aligned. If you used all the same parts, then yes something is out of wack. Measure the one you using, then go to dealership and get one 20 over that. They sell a whole bunch of diffent sizes. The spacer on the rear cam should be the .010, assuming you have an '07 or later ('06 & later if it's a dyna).

When I installed 37H cams in my Breakout, I needed a new cam spacer. The Andrews cam installation instructions said one would be needed, so I got the set HD sells, but you can buy them separately.....

Not unusual for a different spacer with new cams. Measure, get the one you need.

Pull in and out on the cam, mine had some play. I tried to split the difference.

I'll take a look at that. I followed the specs in the manual. Torque both sprocket bolts to 15 ft lbs and then measure. I did this with the chain off.
My OCD will prolly make me pull the plate back out and recheck everything anyway. Besides I think I'm going to check the crank runout for a baseline.
Was able to get a loaner dial indicator from the shop at work so may as well.

Wrong spacer. Same fix as the OPs, measure and get the correct size spacer. Although, I have to say that "easily 1/8" would cause me to pull apart and check everything before final measurement.
