Lifter or valve clicking after battery replacement
I replaced the battery on a 2008 Street Glide. After starting bike , there is now a clicking sound when the motor is running. Sounds like a lifter or valve. I rode earlier the same day, 40 miles, with no clicking and I have never had clicking any time before that. I am thinking the battery has nothing to do with the noise and it's just a coincidence that these 2 things happened at the same time. I tried to charge the battery before replacing and tried to start the bike maybe 10 times without it starting. Could I have drained the hydraulic fluid from somewhere?

Sounds like a lifter may have bled down from all the cranking without starting. It should pump back up with some run time.
