I did forget to mention that after I adjusted the pushrods again up one flat and ran it, it was shooting black smoke. Hard to say if it was soot coming out or something else. It stopped after I rode it for a bit. I also have the screaming eagle pro race tuner I'm letting it auto tune with. I think I'm gonna try to order new lifters and see if that helps. Just don't wanna sink all my cash into the wrong fix. If I do process of elimination it'll be a race bike before I figure it out cause I'll replace everything haha

If you changed cams, you need to retune.. You will likely have issues if you don't. It's not likely that changing the lifter preload had any effect, unless you got them too tight.

I'm running the 255 tune that Harley had for cams cause they are close. It had the big bore kit on there too putting it to the 103 but I adjusted the bore size back down to 96.7. The injection size was the same so I didn't change anything with that. So far I've got two auto tune runs on it, but I'm worried that the lifters or timing chain are starting to go bad

I'm new here, I just did a cam change on my 13 SG. Put on Andrews 57H the bike pulls strong and I also added a set of CFR Slip Ons. I noticed after that I started getting a knocking sound from the motor. Any experienced this?

is it extra valve train noise or a specific knock?

I think I may have solved the problem. I remember too much forward and backward movement on the primary chain main cam. I went and bought some hd cam spacers to keep it seated so I hope this fixes it.
