The 57 would work well@10:1 in a 103, not sure about future displacement upgrades though. If your gonna do that much work to your motor do it once and consult a good head porter..... They know exactly what plays well together....

ok im gion to talk with kirby or hillside when all my funds are together itsa low mileage bike so on the 107 im not sure if it would be worth the diffrence to go up 4 cubes or jus do a cam an heads etc with out taking jugs off i would imagine stage 1 plus cams would be a quite of bit of diffrence .

Will add about 4-5 HP & TQ. Not really worth IMO. Can build a stout 103 with heads, cams, etc. Save the coin for the bore on better headwork. Unless you want to chase those last few ponies.

As already mentioned, the cold cranking compression is the man you need to be concerned with.
On 97% of our injected builds, here, we hover right at 200 psi.....we pull back from that number on carbed machines.

Cranking compression is helpful when deciding on how the engine is going to start at 450-500 RPM's. It is also a good reference point for down the road trouble shooting. Besides that. What is it really. You don't start the bike at WOT, and hopefully with a running engine. It never hits that low of an rpm and pressures are much higher adding burning fuel.

I haven't seen many cam designs published with recommended cranking compression. I have to wonder why it is talked about so much only in our industry.
