More importantly would be your CCP. I think many who know much more than I would say about 190 CCP for reliable, no problems touring. Play around with bigboyz calculator.
My 03 RKC is around 200-205 CCP (10.83 static). Occasionally, it gets a little b!tchy with hot re-starts, but the tune is spot on.

200 ccp is doable but you better find a good tuner. They say there's a lot of good tuners out there but buyer beware.... A poor tune could lead to overheating and I've seen what overheating can do to a motor...... Take it right down..... 190 might be the right choice depending on where you live.... Or if you plan on touring.... You can't always get 93 octane.....

i under stand completeley thanks for all the info very helpful an educating in your guys opinion can i run the ccp alittle on the high side with the twin cooling keepin The temp down sum or should i still try to stick with 190 ?
If you go with stage II or III heads you can push up the CCP. If no head work keep@190.....
ok i plan on doin heads too im also tryin to figure out a great cam i can use now an still use later with head work and maybe 107" i think the 103 twin cooled is advertised around 10.1 maybe if that helps ? Im learning a great deal from here thanks for the replies
