I’m a HD noob, this is my 1st Harley. The previous owner claimed it has a stage 4 big bore kit, from 88 to 95. How can I verify any of this without shop paperwork? ‘02 Electra Glide standard. Also can someone explain to me what exactly stage 4 entails?

seeing where you live there are some race tracks close bye, you could check with them to see if they have a powerhouse or a Mr gasket cubic inch tester. and a whistler compression tester tool . it will determine the cubic inches and the compression ratio of the engine. without a tear down.
I dont think I over paid, it was $5200. I didnt realize what the stage 4 really was, so I didnt give it much thought , or I would have asked him for some paperwork. It has screaming eagle heads & pipes that I can physically see.
The thing does run though. I bought it as a starter bike to see if its something I really wanted to do, and now I cant stay off the damn thing. It has high miles 73,000, (12,000 on the build supposedly) so I was going to upgrade to something newer in the spring.
somewhere, there is a thread that allows you to determine bore by diagonal measurement through the plug hole piston down. he listed some measurements. could be on a diff forum that i read it maybe xlforum.
