abit of background, bike has been stored for awhile now while I’ve been over seas about 11 months, left her with a friend of mine who was ment to maintain her but I clearly had a bad choice of friend as she looks like she has been left under a dust sheet for the entire time, battery was flat when she arrived back to my place on the back of trailer.
pulled the battery out and charged and tested the battery and manages to after some time get her to fire up, but now has a list of issues she won’t rev above 2k rpm so my guess is she is in limp mode, I have looked at the diagnosis codes and she is giving me the codes P1475, P1511, P2100, P2176, I have tried to clear the codes but they won’t clear so I’m guessing these are current issues.
I have the parts for a service on order and should arrive tomorrow so my plan is to give her a good clean and service see if I can’t restore her to her former glory, my question is what are these codes?? Any advice on where to start?? And is there anything I should know about the limping mode?? Will it disappear after issues are sorted or is there something I have to do to clear that??
Im relatively good with DIY work on vehicles worked on a lot of cars and older bikes but have never worked on a harley so any advice would be helpful, I would like to avoid taking the bike to the dealer if I can help it, I have found local to me the dealership have massively inflated prices and would like to fix her up myself if possible.
After you service the bike, including draining & refilling fuel tank with fresh fuel, try cleaning the connector plug that is on the rear of the throttle body with contact cleaner.
Should of said bike had very little fuel when she got back to me so I have given her some high octane to help her out and have used some fuel cleaner also to clean out the jets abit, she is idling nicely but still in limp mode
FI bikes do not have jets. And the fuel left in the line is so sealed from air, 11 months should not hurt it. It only needed a fresh tank of gas. Only add the proper amount of additives to the ratio of fuel. Do not over add additives. I really doubt you needed any.
Is the bike stock or does it have piggy back add ons to screw up connections.
Is you 2015 throttle by electric wire? Or does it have two cables coming out of the throttle lever? Those errors sound like the throttle. Has someone put apes or redone the bars? That throttle by electric wire has a lot of safety feedback built into it and will do limp mode.
P1475. Exhaust Actuaction position error? P1512 efi power management mode. P2100 efi motor circuit open. (Think that is your problem. There is a plug after the throttle) E2176 Efi close position mode learn. (Same connection)

Take a voltage reading at battery while bike is running. Needs to be around 14 volt and will fluctuate with rev increase. Can run like crap if voltage is too low.
Battery is running fine operating at 14v while running and about 12v when at rest, bars on the bike are standard has some extras stage one, v&h big bore 2 into 2 pipes, all fitted by dealer was running perfect before I left I think it’s been left in moisture as there is pitting and corrosion in places (nothing Major looks like oxidisation) where abouts should I bee looking to investigate the throttle issues (any comman issues??) I will send a pic of the bars shortly
