yup going in saturday. Final ride for a fallen brother on thursday, so will be topping the oil up then doing that. drop it off saturday so they can look at it next week. Brought brand new to avoid being bikeless all the time. sigh

2nd gen motor. Oil pump issue was the early touring 1st gen m8
So the MoCo says but from what I have been reading, the oil pump issue is still a puzzlement for the MoCo and the second gen motor made an attempt to solve the problem but the sump and pump design is basically the same and the design is the source of the issue and not so easy to change. Maybe the third gen motor will get it right; maybe not.
Ask the dealer service manager how they intend to address the issue. First step should be a leak down test and you should see the results.
