Cams
whats going on guys! So I got a set of se-203 cams from a friend only has 1500 miles on. I have a 2004 fxdli with air cleaner and thunder header. Can I just put the cams in and go or do I need to do any other internals or anything. Never messed with motor just because it’s reliable but can’t pass up free cams let me know thanks

Replace inner and outer cam bearings, pay attention to chain rotation and re-install so they rotate in the same direction. New cam cover gaskets and cam plate O-rings. A fuel management system and tune would optimize performance; no factory downloads please. Depending on miles, might consider new lifters. Service manual would be a good idea. Pay attention to pushrods, easy for first time to drop an intake into the exhaust lifter or visa versa. You could run adjustables but not necessary.
