Whats up everyone? I have a 2006 Street Glide (carburetor) that is stock except for Rhineheart Slip ons, and a Performance Machine intake.
Recently I had a strange metallic noise from the engine, and metal on the oil drain plug. I tore the engine apart and found the front inner cam bearing failed, causing damage to the cam.
My biggest question is what cam to go with? I weigh about 260 lbs, and occasionally ride two up with my girlfriend who is a tiny thing. Looking for good low-mid range power. But for the life of me I cant figure out which cam to go with! Ive already purchased the heartland products cam bearing tool, and replaced the bearing.
Any help with a cam that would be a good match would be greatly appreciated!
The Andrews TW21 is a very good all around cam for a heavy bike and 2 up... If only doing a cam upgrade... If you bump the compression a tad the TW26 and TW37 also work very well....
Thanks for all the replys!

Since I know metal went through the system Im under the impression that a new oil pump and cam support plate are a good idea. Im between the SE kit and the S&S.
And since I am putting in new cams, my though process is that new lifters are needed also, but with new lifters and cams, do I also need new push rods? Or can I stick with my stock ones? I guess Im a little intimidated by adjustable push rods.
I removed the old push rods by taking apart the top end, so will be resealing and putting new parts in for the breather system.
Anything I am missing? Are there any oil filter screens that should be replaced?
